Late Night Friday and Saturday

Unwind at the RA during late-night Fridays and Saturdays

China: The Three Emperors, 1662—1795 is open until 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays for the duration of the exhibition, with the shop, restaurant, bar and café open until late. On Fridays, you can enjoy a range of Chinese classical and folk music, free for everyone to enjoy.

Academy Restaurant

On Friday evenings the restaurant is transformed from an informal daytime buffet service into a table-service restaurant, including cocktail bar with appetisers. With 2 courses at £17.95, 3 courses at £21.95 and carefully chosen wines from £13.50 a bottle, this is the perfect venue to which to dine before of after viewing the exhibition.

Open every Friday evening 6.15pm to 10pm (except Friday 23 December and Saturday 31 December 2005). Last food orders at 8.30pm and drinks 9.30pm. We recommend advance booking on 020 7300 5608.

On Saturdays the restaurant will remain open with a buffet service until 9.30pm.

Sir Hugh Casson Room for Friends of the Royal Academy

Relax and enjoy a drink in the Sir Hugh Casson Room, open to everyone on Friday and Saturday evenings with a bar service from 6.15pm to 9.30pm.

Gallery Café

Serving a range of freshly prepared sandwiches, cakes and pastries, this is an ideal place to visit for a light snack and drink. Open until 7.30pm Friday and Saturday.

Our Shop

The shop is open until 9.45pm on Friday and Saturday, selling a carefully selected range of merchandise to accompany the exhibition.
