One off Barbara Acton-Bond jewellery pieces – around £300 (prices vary per piece)

The designer Barbara Acton-Bond lived in Asia for eleven years and became fascinated by ancient artefacts. After working and training with various experts in the field her attention gradually moved to ancient jewellery. The necklaces are loosely based on Chinese court jewellery and are all completely unique. Barbara mixes elements from all over the world, jades, semi-precious stones, antique pieces, hand blown glass, pearl, silver and bronze. She also uses the traditional Chinese knotted silk cord, which sets off the design in a luxurious way and makes it very comfortable to wear. The necklaces are then finished off with silver or gold-filled clasps. Each piece is a one-off and is signed by the designer.
